Can multiple people use an app with 1 account and simultaneously?

Hi,

The client I'm about to make an app for has more then 30 users that will use the app frequently. Only the users themselves change a lot in 1 year. You can imagine over time how many people will come and go. So making for each person a new account isn't effective.

Now is it possible if I make 1 main account (example staff@companyname.com) and everyone logs into that account while using the app simultaneously? This way it doesn't matter in the future for the client when new people come in. Only the SharePoint list needs to be updated with the right names. And if its possible, how many people can use an app with the same account simultaneously?

Hopefully someone has the answer.

Yes you can do that. Not advised from an audit/security perspective. But it would work.

Do you know how many people? At the moment they have around 30 people who will use the app in 1 account simultaneously. Over time it can increase to 100 easily.

I couldn't speak to if there is actually any limit to the number of simultaneous logins for Office 365. However, I would read through the license terms to make sure that what you intend to do would not violate the license.
