MS Flow approver in browser and mobile app missing item link

Hi,

I am using flow approvals.

  1. When we see approvals section in MS Flow in browser. Then we go to sent request tab. Once you click on request, then a panel appears containing description and Item Link as shown below.

MS Flow ISSUE ITEM LINK.png

  1. Now go to received request section and click on any request received for approval. Now the panel does not contain that item link. Now without item link, user will not be able to figure out for which item it is pending.
  2. Same is the case of MS Flow app. It does not show any item link. Only approval email has that item link.
  3. Also if we try to make some formatting in item description to show the link in flow approval, it renders HTML as it is in browser & outlook & Flow App rather than rendering nice html tables. Even in outlook also it renders HTML as text.

Any ways to overcome above points ?

    Hi @manjotsingh057,

Could you please share a screenshot of your flow’s configuration?

Further, could you please show a bit more about your formatting formula of item link description within “Start an approval” action?

I have made a test on my side and don’t have the issue that you mentioned. My flow’s configuration as below:2.JPG

The item link shows well in Sent requests tab and Received requests tab:

    Sent requests tab:3.JPG

    Received requests tab:4.JPG

For your third point, do you want to type a html text within Item link description field of “Start approval” action? Formatting a html text is not supported in “Start an approval” action of Microsoft Flow currently.

    Best regards,

    Kris

    Thanks Kris,

My mistake. It was missing the item link variable in one of the approval action.
