Hi all,

I am new to this powerapp and i find it very useful for my orangization but the only limitation is building part.

Case:
I am trying to build an app which connects to D365 Finance and operations data source and i want the staff to scan the product and reterive data from D365.

I am able to get the basic of scan and getting the values displayed in label but how can i fetch or lookup values in seperate  fields from a barcode scan?

Any help would be useful 🙂

    Hi @UsmanAziz ,

Were you creating the app with steps like below?

    https://community.dynamics.com/ax/b/happyd365fo/posts/using-microsoft-dynamics-365-finance-and-operations-pu14-and-above-and-yet-to-leverage-powerapps

If so, then you could Filter the data in gallery control with the label that has the number you get from Barcode control. The formula should be something like:

    Filter( DataSourceName, StartsWith( ColumnName, Label1.Text ) )

    Regards,

    Mona

    Hi @v-monli-msft ,

    Thanks for the update 🙂

Unforunately, i am not using that method mine is little simple form where data is retrieved directly from D365 FinOps.

Such as in connectors- I simply connect to it  in PowerApps design and connect each field with its label.

    Something like this app: https://powerapps.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/scenario-3-inventory-counting-assistant/

Where she scans the product item and all the product details are visible from that barcode such as name, size, unit is displayed.
