Gallery working on PC only not on mobile device

Hello All,

Thanks in advance for looking at my query.

I am writing an app to include some photos for our construction site inspection. I have read through some tutorials online and have included a "Gallery" to show the photos. I managed to get the app working on the PC however when I am using my Android phone or Ipad to use the app, the Gallery is not shown. Below are the screenshots.

I guess I have done the right authorization to use my data from the sharepoint list so my PC can run the app. However, I have just got no idea on why my mobile device, including both Android phone and Ipad are not working. Does anyone have the same experience before?

@WarrenBelz I read through your blog post. I have to say that I did not fully understand the logic behind but I have tried out. I still haven't got it figured out. Please see the following images. I tried to change the image control to what you blog post mentioned however the images are not showing.

OK you have now told me they are attachments (not Library items) - the only files you can possibly display thumbnail images are image (jpg/png etc) files and you need ThisItem.Value. Any other type of file (PDF/Word etc) simply will not resolve on a mobile device and there is no workaround for this. For PDF's I tend to display a PDF icon image (downloaded to media) and you can open the file with Launch(ThisItem.AbsoluteUri).

@WarrenBelz Thank you so much for your assistance. I can now see the image in the gallery working and can see the thumbnail. I want to go further add the arrow to open the whatever image file (jpg or png) or even pdf files about this item.

I used your suggested formula Launch(ThisItem.AbsoluteUri) . Like my previous problem, this works on my PC and not on my mobile device. I changed it to Launch(ThisItem.AbsoluteUri) for the 'OnSelect' however it did not work. I also tried other similar things like Launch(ThisItem.Value) is also not working.

upon clicking on this item, I just want to open some browsers or apps that can open the file, no matter it is jpg, png or pdf.

What should I put in for the OnSelect field? Thanks in advance. CF

Launch(ThisItem.AbsoluteUri) works OnSelect - on a mobile device the user may be prompted initially to log into SharePoint, but is will display (I just tested one here on an Android phone).

@WarrenBelz Thank you so much and I get this work finally. I think I was having problem with the new Microsoft 365 app and my duck duck go browser installed. After I deleted that Microsoft 365 app and installed another internet browser, jpg, png and pdf files are directly open in the browser and the app works.

@chifaiau ,

I think that browser would explain a lot - stick with Chrome or Edge if you want to use Power Apps.
