OneNote acts like a folder

Greetings!

I am creating a Flow to build a customer engagement template in Sharepoint, which is a folder that contains, among other things, a OneNote Notebook file. When I use the Sharepoint connector to Get File Content Using Path, Flow sees the Notebook as a Folder containing files for each Section. Is there a way to change this? My template Notebook has a variety of Sections and Section Groups that I need to remain intact.

Any ideas?

    Hi @timothyp,

That should be related with OneNote service. Microsoft Flow added the OneNote connection start on Thursday, December 29, 2016, see: Adding DocuSign, SurveyMonkey, and OneNote(Business) support

I think flow service would recognize the oneNote file and "Parse" it automatically.

If here you would like to keep the OneNote file as a single file, then please consider Zip it to another file.

Or you may consider to take use of OneNote connection.

    Some available template:

    OneNote(Business)

    Hi,

Thanks for the reply but it doesn't answer my need. 1. The OneNote connector has no Actions that allow one to copy an entire notebook and create it elsewhere. 2. I thought about the ZIP option, but that defeats the entire purpose I have for using Flow—to avoid having to pull file a out of sharepoint to start working with it.

The simplest and easiest solution would be to teach Flow and Sharepoint to "see" a OneNote Notebook as a single entity—and then allow people to create flows that manipulate its contents as a part of the OneNote connector.

    Hi @timothyp,

Would you please share about the OneNote file type saved here, .one or .onepkg?

Based on my testing, they are both be able to be selected by the File identifier file picker with the SharePoint->Get FIle content.

Would it be available to change the type for the OneNote file?
