MS Form to New Record in CDS

Hello,

I know I can use Power Automate to get data from my MS Form and create a record in CDS. What I am having trouble with is, I want the user who filled out the from to be the owner of the record when it is created in CDS. When I set the ID from the Form to the Owner field it fails. What am I missing?

Can you share a picture of your flow,
Which entity are you so tiring the users in?
If you are using the entity Users, the user needs to be apart of the entity Users.

Also to note. Where you are assigning the user to the record, if the assigned to field is a lookup. Than you need to pass the GUID (ID) of the user.

This can be done by using a list records on the Users entity, filtering on email address to get the UserID

Hi @Anonymous

If you trying to create the CDS record via Power Automate then the owner will be set to the CDS connector user. This is the default behaviour. So for audit trails you can see which record is created via integration or not.
