Model Driven App Security with CDS Entity

Hello,

 

I am new to Model Driven App, and I have created model driven app with following approach:

 

  1. Created Entities : Products Entity with Many to many relationship with Reviews Entity
  2. Created an App : Added Products and Reviews Entities in the App, where Product shows related reviews.

 

Question:

  1. How can I display products created by me ( Current logged in user) in App?
  2. How can I restrict editing product item in app which are not created by current user?

    I could figure out by specifying following filter in CDS View:

     

    "Created By Me" equals current user.

     

    However, is there any way that allows restricting "Editing" entity which is not created by current user?

    Hello,

     

    The ability to edit / create / delete depends on the permission depth granted to the specific entity.

    In order to restrict users from modifying the record created by others, you can set the edit permission depth at the user level, as shown below:
