I have a collection (AM) and a Gallery tied to the collection AM. And an edit form that I'm trying to connect to the collection via the selected item...
It allows me to pick a Data source from properties and it says there is a data source, but the message ont he edit form says that I need to connect to data?
What am I doing wrong here?
I have another edit form on the same page tied to a different gallery and collection just fine.

A collection is not a datasource. If you want the EditForm to be connected to a datasource, then set it to the datsource that you fill your collection with.
You can actually use an Edit form on a collection, but you WILL get that message, and you really get no benefit from it (from an Submit, New, etc. perspective)
