How to remove space end of string only

Hello Power Platform Community,

Good day!

I would like to ask on how I can remove last space on a string.

Example: "another test "

If I use trim function it will remove space middle and last. However I only want to remove if there's space at the end. But if there's no space at the end it will not remove last character.

Try the slice function instead.

Can you try the expression below:

slice('another test ', 0, -1)

I missed your addition requirement that you only want to slice if their is actually a space at the end. In that case you can you a lastindexOf and check if that is the last character.

Try something like below:

In this example the string value is stored in a variable called FindSpaceCharacter

if(equals(lastIndexOf(variables('FindSpaceCharacter'), ' '), sub(length(variables('FindSpaceCharacter')),1)), slice(variables('FindSpaceCharacter'), 0, -1), variables('FindSpaceCharacter'))
