Using Date to find an Excel table row ListRows

I'm very new at this, I see some other conversations about working with Dates but it seems very confusing.

I'm using ListRows to examine all rows in an Excel Table and process certain rows based on what's there.  For example if I have text in a certain field I can search for that text and then process the rows where the text is found.

But, what I really want to do is examine the date in a certain field (named Date) and process that row if the date matches today's date. The dates are stored in typical Excel date format.

In the value condition, if I say Date is equal to "08/20/2020" it does not find it even though that is how it is shown in Excel. I have tried with and without quote marks. In some posts on this board I have seen some wickedly complex formulas to use dates - is this really required?  If so, what formula do I enter in the value condition?

    Hi @Steve_Rothman

When you fetch dates from Excel they come as numbers. It's strange I know but that's what happens.

Here's how to parse and compare them:

Can you please check if and let me know if you have any questions?

Hi @manuelstgomes , the linked page was very educational, but I'm still stuck.

The date fields in my Excel sheet are giving the date as a number in my Flow, like "440634" for the date 2020-08-21 - and that's fine.

How do I find today's date in my flow in the same numeric format, so that I can see if "440634" is today or not?

I want to do a simple IF (date in Excel) IS EQUAL TO (date today) THEN... kind of logic.

I can see all sort of help for getting today's date in nicely formatted "human" dates - but I just want to get today's date as a 6-digit number so I can compare it with what's in my Excel document - is this possible? Thanks!!!
