Approval Reminder Works for 1 Minute Delay but not for 24 hours delay

Hi, everyone!

I just started using Power Automate so I guess this is a basic question.

I tried to create a flow in which it would send a reminder email daily to the approver until he/she does an action on the approval. I tried to copy one of videos from Youtube but sadly I can't find it anymore.

Anyway, the problem is that when I test it with 1 minute delay, the sending of reminder works! A reminder was sent every minute until an action was imposed on the approval.

As a newbie, I wanted to try if the reminder would still be sent if the delay is longer, so I tried it for 24-hour delay (because in reality, if this flow is implemented, the reminder would have to be sent every week). I have observed that it only sends one reminder and then doesn't send reminders anymore.

I need help on how to fix/improve my flow so that the sending of reminders would be consistent regardless of how long the delay would be.

Below is my flow.

Here is my whole flow - collapsed. The main steps were actually default steps because in the SharePoint site in which this flow is connected, I used their  'Set a Reminder' flow option. I then built the flow from there.

I have 2 sets of approvals inside the flow. I will just show one approval as sample in this post. Here is the variable created for one approval.

And then expanding 'Scope to get items due in 1 day'

And then expanding the 'Apply to each 2' to finally show the 1st approval.

Again, what I need is help on how to fix my flow so that the sending of reminders would be consistent regardless of how long the delay would be. Hope somebody can help me!

You can simplify the solution, lets say you want to send email notification if user has not responded for more than 24 hours, so when an item is created you can you can store due date in column lets day "Due date", you can have more than one columns and store due dates when the item is created(create a different flow when an item is created if required) and then have a scheduler which will run daily, get the day the flow is running, query list column and get all items which are due today and send email as required.

If item is modified, have a column as flag and update that column.

Just fix the reminder information in SharePoint columns and associate with the item itself, then check current date, reminder date, modified and flag as required.

You don't have to do everything in flow, that's more complicated.
