Setting lookup as default value for people picker combobox

Hi all,

I have a combo-box connected to a people picker column in SharePoint. It allows me to pick users and patch to the SharePoint list without issue which is okay when making new entries but when changing existing entries using the same combo-box, I am unable to show the selected person. Closest I can get without error messages is: If(gblExisting=true,Gallery16.Selected.'Business Sponsor',{Value: Blank()}). gblExisting is so I can tell if user is creating a new or looking to modify an existing item selected from gallery16. I have switched on formula level error management as suggested in other googlings for answers to this but with no success.

    Have stumbled onto the answer, answer was to use this coding: If(gblExisting=true,Gallery16.Selected.'Business Sponsor',Blank()) but in defaultselecteditems, not default despite it not being a multiple selection field. Confusing but solves the problem!
