ReportHi, we have lots of Enterprise data that requires reference data to underpin PowerBi reporting.
Historically uses ftp xls files and these are ingested into the data sat. Over 50% fail due to data errors.
Most are very simple (see example below) so thinking of using PowerApp over sharepoint list (best licencing option).
This list is used a dimension in the data model (using the "slowly changing dimension" framework.
My question is about the rules/mechanism that can best meet the need (preventing overlapping dates).
Example data
Product Category From Date ToDate
bus transport 01/01/20 01/01/22
tree plant 01/01/19 01/01/30
bus vehicle 01/01/21 01/01/25 ** (this being an invalid record)
