Trying to get my gallery to search with multiple tables. Having a heck of a time here. Perfect world I would want to have one search box to filter the products using info from 2 tables. But I couldn't figure it out and thought adding a combo box would make it easier.. I was wrong..

Attempt at 2 boxes filtering out product gallery: (After looking at how doc video did theirs)

Search(Filter('Products (custom)',IsBlank(ComboVendor.Selected) || LookUp(Vendors,Name = 'Products (custom)'[@Vendor].Name) = ComboVendor.Selected),SearchInput.Text,"cd_edpnumber","cd_catalognumber","cd_description")

Error:
"Incomparable types for comparison, these types cant be compared: Record, Record."

Attempt with only one search box: (Preferred)

Search(
 AddColumns('Products (custom)',
 "Name", LookUp(Vendors,Name = 'Products (custom)'[@Vendor].Name)
 ),
 EDPInput.Text, "cd_edpnumber", "cd_catalognumber", "cd_description", "Name"
)

 (I am testing on two pages so input text is different)
Error:
"Search has some invalid arguments"

At this point either way would work, and any help would be much apricated!

    Ah I see what I did, I changed it to

    Search(
     AddColumns('Products (custom)',
     "Name", LookUp(Vendors,Name = 'Products (custom)'[@Vendor].Name).Name
     ),
     SearchInput1.Text, "cd_edpnumber", "cd_catalognumber", "cd_description","Name"
    )

    This was correct, but it messed up my Gallery by changing the first input to ThisItem.Name, then added two Cat Numbers for some reason. Which errored out the whole app confusing me. But I got it

    I believe that your problem is that Search() will not search a number column and it looks like there are two number columns.  You will need Filter for those numbers.  I suggest the following:

    With({tbl: Filter(
     'Products (custom)', IsBlank(EDPInput.Text)||
     cd_edpnumber=Value(EDPInput.Text)||
     cd_catalognumber=Value(EDPInput.Text)
     )
     },
     Search(
     AddColumns(
     tbl, "Name", LookUp(Vendors,Name = 'Products (custom)'[@Vendor].Name)
     ) ,EDPInput.Text, "cd_description", "Name"
     )
     )
