Displaying Application Name when sending email

Hi everyone,

I have used Microsoft 365 Outlook connector to send emails. The scenario was as follows:

On my login page, I have a given a option if a user is new then they can register themselves on the application:

New User Registration Page/Screen:

After the user enters all the details and clicks on Submit, then I am using the Microsoft Outlook 365 connector (instead of Power Automate)

For the email: I am using the same email that is been entered in the email field. The email is sent but I just wanted to make 1 change to it:

Instead of displaying the current logged in user details (here my name: as the connector is using the Outlook login details) can I set some other name like the application name (Login App) so that the user gets to know that it's about the application that they had registered.

@KeithAtherton

Regards,

Sidhant

    Hi @Sidhant_02
    The easiest way is to hard code the app name on AppOnStart

    Set(
     gblAppGlobalName,
     {
     ApplicationName: "My Project Software",
     ApplicationID: "17718e8c-f2e0-40e1-8be0-f1ab03e73ef7",
     SessionID: Text(
     Now(),
     "ddmmyy-hhmmss"
     )
     }
    );

    And reuse gblAppGlobalName.ApplicationName

    Office365Outlook.SendEmail("your@email.com", "Subject", "Body of the email, App name is: " & gblAppGlobalName.ApplicationName)

    Hi @Ramole ,
    Thanks for the reply, I did try the solution that you have mentioned:

    Sidhant_02_1-1674551416792.png

    But I was hoping to get the application name like this: (is it possible?)

    The email can be optional (which will retrieve the mail of admin which is defined in SharePoint list with User role: Admin)

    Hi @Sidhant_02
    You can change or add in to different section the subject Email

    Office365Outlook.SendEmail("your@email.com", gblAppGlobalName.ApplicationName, "Body of the email, App name is: " & gblAppGlobalName.ApplicationName)

    Hi @Sidhant_02,

    Yes, you can use the Power Apps for Makers connector to get the app name.
