Where to I find the MACHINENAME\User in Data Gateway?

Hello,

 

I'm starting with Power Automate Desktop. From the documentation, I can see I need to create a new connection to a Power Automate "Desktop Flow" and connect to a data gateway.

 

The gateway I'm using is the same I use for Power BI.

 

The question is: where do I find the MACHINENAME\User?

 

Domain and Username: Provide your device account. You can use a local account by using the name of the user (for example, “MACHINENAME\User” or “local\User”), or an Active Directory account such as “DOMAIN\User”.

    If this is in relation to the Gateway, I wonder if this is what you are looking for?  Where do you see it asking for this btw just out of curiosity?

    Hi @DamoBird365,

     

    I think @WebPortal is talking about this part of the PAD configuration:

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-gb/power-automate/desktop-flows/setup#setup-desktop-flows-connections-and-machine-credentials

     

    So my guess would be that it is the domain account which is used to logon to the device where the desktop flows are going to run attended/unattended.
