Using Excel data in PA

I'm reading about ways to expose all data in an excel file for use in power automate - however I'm struggling to find credible detail.

Is there a way to easily use excel data as an array/json or such to then filter and further use the data?

    Hi, @Johnnyoc

    According to your description, you want to get the table from your excel. If this , you can use the "List rows in a present table" action in Power Automate.

    For more information, you can refer to :

    Hi , @Johnnyoc

    If your Excel file has no table , you need to use the office script to auto-create the table in your excel file due to the "list rows in a present table" action needs to create a table in the excel file!

    function main(workbook: ExcelScript.Workbook) {
     let selectedSheet = workbook.getActiveWorksheet();
     let newTable = workbook.addTable(selectedSheet.getUsedRange(), true);
    }

    Thanks for your help, however I seem unable to select the as yet uncreated table in the list rows present in table. I can't seem to add a dynamic output from add table or default it to Table1? Screenshot 2024-02-22 at 10.16.36.png

    Hi , @Johnnyoc

    Thanks for your quick response! First you can try to use the "Table1" as static table mane. Second , you can use the "Get tables" action after running the office script to get the table name.

    And you can use this expression to extract the name of the table:

    outputs('Get_tables')?['body/value']?[0]?['name']
