Regarding User licenses

Hi All, 

 

I need to clarify which types of licenses be assigned to users in below case.

 

we're going to create  a canvas app equipped with AI feature(scanning barcode) and also it's connected with desktop flow.

Also this desktop flow equipped with AI feature(extract data from img and send to dataverse). 

 

In this case, both A user who created this app and flow and B user who just use these app and flow need to have Power Apps and Power Automate standalone licenses, right? It's not covered if they have M365 E3 or E5 license? 

 

Please provide any comments. Thanks in advance.

    You are correct that an Office license will not be enough.  But either a Power App per user or per app license will cover both the Power App and the attached flows.  So each user will need either a power app per user or per app license.  The Per flow license is only required if you have standalone flows that are not related to the power app scenario in any way.  YOu will however need licensing for using AI since it is not covered by either Power Apps or Power Automate licensing.  Here's the licensing FAQ for AI builder.  AI is covered by a capacity used license.  Power Apps and Power Automate licensing FAQs - Power Platform | Microsoft Docs
