Patch and the Left syntax

Hi all

I have a text label that displays the numeric value of a dropdown box via the use of the left command

$"K{Text(Left(Dropdown1.Selected.Value,1))}"

On my form I have a submit button that use the patch command to write the Dropdown1.Selected.Value to a column in a SP list - this all works, however I would like to take that numeric value and write to a separate column in the same SP list but stumbling on getting it to work

Patch(Test_POC,Defaults(Test_POC),{Title:InputProject.Text, 'Skill Level':Dropdown1.Selected.Value,Motive:Dropdown2.Selected.Value})

How do I add (Left(Dropdown1.Selected.Value,1) to the above please, lets call the column Number for example ?

Thanks

    Hi @JasonM73,

    Does the following work? Note: I've indented the code for readability.

    Patch(Test_POC, Defaults(Test_POC),
     {
     Title:InputProject.Text,
     'Skill Level':Dropdown1.Selected.Value,
     Motive:Dropdown2.Selected.Value,
     Number:Value(Left(Dropdown1.Selected.Value, 1))
     }
    )
