Is it possible to do a B2C Claims mapping to a Date field

Is there a way to claims map a B2C custom attribute that will be Date of Birth to the "birthdate" field (so when the new user is pushed to the Profile page from B2C setup the field on the Profile will be pre-populated).

 

Please note: this question is specifically about a date field and not general claims mapping as "date/date-time" is not a standard custom attribute type in B2C.
