Hi,

Very new to Power Automate, and looking for ways to incorporate it into my work with real use cases. I am looking for Power Automate to do the following:

Open Excel with Input Data

Open Browser

Go to specific Website

Input Data into various fields based on Excel Data

Click on certain Pages

Extract Certain Data

Repeat process till end of list of excel.

That is the basic gist, I have been playing around with Power Automate, and my biggest hurdles are:

1)What steps do I take to fill web fields from my data set?

2)How best to loop the steps to go down to the next row of data of my data set until row is empty of data.

1) populate text field on web page (or something like that) should be the action. Where it asks for element, click the drop down button. Then click “add new element”. This enables you to hover over web elements, and after you hover over the text field for about 1 second, you should see a red rectangle appear around it. Once this happens Hold Control and press Left Click. It will capture the element and populate the field.

2). If I am constantly referring to and writing back to Excel, I like to set up a Loop with the LoopIndex the same as the row. I am on. For this example, I am going to assume that you have a title row, so we would start at row 2:

launch Excel

get first free row to %FirstFreeRow%
Loop starting at 2, ending at %FirstFreeRow - 1%, increment of 1

‘Do your Loop Activities and anytime you have to reference the row of Excel, use %LoopIndex%

End (Loop)
