Are you able to share the webpage you are using? The buttons could have a specific selector you can use in the same way as the tutorial you've linked, but without the " > a[Class= ...". (The "a" here is used specifically for a link)
If it's a button, you might also be able to use "Click UI element" rather than "Click link".
