Hi,

I have a "start and wait for an approval" flow setup for a SharePoint List. So far, it works as expected to send the initial approval review email. But the issue is....during my testing, I noticed that if go to the SharePoint list and click on the ...(3 dots) -> select the "Approve/Reject" option. It allows me to approve the item from the SharePoint list directly. But, it leaves my flow hanging in the "Running" status and it never gets to the point in the flow to send the approved email. Even though the list shows the item as Approved.

Can you help with these questions...

1. Is there a way to allow the user to approve both ways (either from email or the list directly)?

2. If I can't do that...is there a way to hide that approve/reject option in the list (but still allow approvals to work via email)?

Hi @seaside44,

Unfortunately, neither of the two points can achieve.

As a workaround, you could hide the Approval Status column, then create a custom Choice column named Approval, set options to Approve, Reject, Padding.

Then send approval requests to users, according to the response to update the Approval.
