MS Forms & Conditions Not Working

Hi all,

I am having issues with my condition not picking up the 'equal' from my MS Form.
I have a question in my form requesting a member's position description number, then in power automate I want the condition to pick up that number and decide if it is requiring a mandatory course or if the number does not fall in the mandatory course column.

Every time I run the flow it is successful, but it automatically declines the number even when in the condition it is; equal'.

In cases like this I usually debug the issue by adding a Compose button (just after the Get response details). Then when I run the flow I take a look at the results in the Compose to see what the value of the condition is picking up.

This response show that the field you are choosing in the Compose action has an empty value result.

I've adjusted the compose because i wasn't grabbing the 'output' of the previous step correctly.

Now the compose is showing and input & output, what specifically am I looking for to see if it is or isn't working?
