Folder does not exist

Hi,
I am doing a simple flow which renames file names. It gets hung up on the replace flow where "folder cannot be found".  Preceding that I am reading from an excel file which is in the same folder and that part of the flow finds the excel file and opens it.  when it gets to the part where it goes to replace the name of the target file, it says folder not found.
I have triple checked the file name in the excel file and the target file and there is no discrepancy. I have further taken the path and file name form the excel file and used explore search and have found the folder and the file.
I am sure there is something simple here, but is beyond my grasp. I have also checked permissions

Version: 11.2502.260.0
Component: Console

thanks for any help
Mark

    Hi Mark,

Can you show screenshot of your flow. Its easier to figure out what might be wrong if we can see the flow.

Double check that you are giving it the correct full file path to rename the file and not just the filename for example

    thanks for the quick reply.
I for the moment abandoned Power Automate and tried Power Rename and got stuck again.
the difference was the error message in Power Rename was invalid character in the new file name.
Since it was coming from an excel file I did not think to verify the new names, I was focused on the old names

Duhhh...... slashes verses dashes in date format embedded in new file name
I replaced all "/" with "-" and went back to Power Automate and it ran successfully.
    all 85 files.

If I were to give a critique, Power Automate although "cannot find the path" is an accurate statement, it would have been nice for the new names to be checked for format, and I was provided that error message.
It would have been even nicer if I just realized the invalid date format and saved 3 hours of slamming my head against the wall.

Anyways I provide this detail for anyone else that run into this and forst check for invalid characters in the new names coming from an excel file

Again thanks for your quick reply, and sorry for the time sink.

    Thank you Mark!

Ran into the same problem. Was trying to same a file with a date variable w/ format 'yyyy/MM/dd' instead of 'yyyy.MM.dd'

The slashes were the issue. So simple I hadn't noticed.

    Cheers!
