Hi, I'm trying to update multiline text field in SPList from PowerApp, I tried Patch formula, I tried Submit Form with Input field, I even changed the MaxLength of the input field multiline to accept more characters but still I'm getting "Value must be at most 255 characters in length" every time I try to update or create new record in SPList. SPList column is multiline plan text type and I checked it let me create record with more than 255 characters, but with the PowerApp I'm not able to create that. I can display that record fine using Display form or any Gallery Label but not able to create\update with more than 255 characters. let me know if anyone have any solution to that.

Hi @Anonymous,

I cannot reproduce your issue. I have a SharePoint list with a Multiple lines of text column. And when I created this column, I just left the default setting like below:

I created an app using this list and let PowerApps auto-created the app. And then I edited one item, with below value which it more than 255 characters in Multiple Line column and clicked on the submit button, it got updated in SharePoint successfully:

Please check if there is any different setting in this column and the list. Also, try the auto-created app.

Hello This is good solution I did this for a Comments box in my form, but for some reason it brings like some java lenguage that shouldn't be there, it's something similiar to this <divclass="ExternalClassBCDE31BD......, now in the list everything it's ok, the problem is that when the users add more comments now it saves it with that garbage, is it possible to get rid of it?
