Hi,

I am getting the error "Cannot create session to execute desktop flow run. User needs to have Remote Desktop permissions." This is the error code:

I believe I have everything set up and everything works in attended mode. The error code is 400. Any ideas? Thanks.

You say everything works in attended mode. Does that mean you are trying to run this on another user's desktop in unattended mode? If so, then remote Desktop permissions for the user running the desktop flow to the machine where the flow will be run is required. To run the flow unattended it needs to start a session on the remote machine. If the user running the flow doesn't have remote desktop permission then a session can't be created.

That depends somewhat on the desktop involved. Assuming its a standalone desktop you can add the user to the Remote Desktop Users group through computer management on the PC.

If its domain joined you would do the same thing, but you would use the domain Remote Desktop Users group.

My VM is already added to the Remote Desktop Users. But still I am facing the same issue. And regarding domain Remote Desktop Users group. I was not able to find one in computer management.

Check what user is running the connection in the flow that launches the desktop flow. That is the user that needs to be a remote desktop user on the VM, not the VM itself.

The user which is running the flow is the same user who is the remote desktop user in VM. I just wanted to know how these RDP Permissions can be given.

What OS is the VM running? Is it a member of AAD or an AD? Or is it a standalone server?
