Microsoft Power Automate persistently gives error, "Expanding tree node failed (tree wasn't found)"

Hello Community, 

 

I am facing a persistent issue in Power Automate Desktop.

 

I created the action, “Expand/Collapse tree node in window” and select my tree node. When I run the action "from here" it works. However, if I close the file and run from my first actions it gives an error, "Expanding tree node failed (tree wasn't found)". Despite repeatedly repairing the UI element, this error reoccurs. I did not sign up to Power Automate to constantly repair errors manually. Please can someone help!

    Hi @Ghafoor !

     

    Need some more info of the same. Can you provide the following:

    1. Screenshot of the data used in that action, Expand/Collapse tree node in window.

    2. Screenshot of the UI element you are trying to expand/collapse.

    It sounds like the UI element might have reference to an attribute that changes every run.
    So every time you launch the window that has the tree node it has an attribute that has changed but your "Expand/Collape tree node in window" -action tries to find an old element that has that changing attribute. So it wont find the element since it has changed from previous run. 
    Try to figure out which attribute changes every run and toggle that attribute off so your flow wont try to find element that has that changing attribute.
