What is wrong with this argument? If(varFormMode = FormMode.New, Defaults(SystemAdoptionCard2), SharePointIntegration.Selected)

I'm using this on the Item property for multiple screens form. I get an error message that I'm using invalid argument. The "=" sign is underlined in red. What's wrong with this syntax? Thanks!

Could you tell me

1)"varFormMode" represent what?

2)Defaults(SystemAdoptionCard2) represent what?

If you want to represent a form's mode, you should use formula like this:

Formname.Mode

Since you set that formula in multiple form, you need to change form name in different form.

form1's Item:

If(Form1.Mode= FormMode.New, Defaults(SystemAdoptionCard2), SharePointIntegration.Selected)

form2's Item:

If(Form2.Mode= FormMode.New, Defaults(SystemAdoptionCard2), SharePointIntegration.Selected)

....

Others are similar.
