SortByColumns(Filter([@Complaint], 'Distributor', TextSearchBox1_2.Text),"Date", Descending)

Am getting error because the distributor column contain choices in sharepoint, combo box in powerapp.

I want to able to use able to search for a distributor quickly using "Distributor" column rather than scrolling up and down to lookup for a particular distributor.

Please help.

Try this:

SortByColumns(Filter([@Complaint], 'Distributor'.Value, TextSearchBox1_2.Text),"Date", Descending)

As Distributor is a choice column you have to append .Value

Thanks for the quick response @PowerRanger , what you shared didnt give error, but no record displayed on the gallery and record is contained in the sharepoint list.

I want the records to show and use Distributor as my search inside the textsearchbox

@Anonymous can you wrap TextSearchBox1_2.Text in Lower()
Lower(TextSearchBox1_2.Text)
So that your search will not be restricted to Upper or Lower case search

Ah. Where did you place the formular? This must be used for the Items property of your gallery
SortByColumns(Filter([@Complaint], 'Distributor'.Value, TextSearchBox1_2.Text),"Date", Descending)

hello @Anonymous I tried it on my end and it worked.
I noticed you did not satisfy the condition for the filter function
SortByColumns(Filter([@Complaint], 'Distributor'.Value = TextSearchBox1_2.Text),"Date", Descending) or SortByColumns(Filter([@Complaint], Distributor = TextSearchBox1_2.Text),"Date", Descending) One of them should work And I hope your data source is coming from [@Complaint]?
Try it and let le know how it goes.
