Restrict User to manually deploy Canvas app

Hi,

As an admin, I want to force Users to use automated deployment (ALM Accelerator), it means they can't export canvas app as package then import it into another environment.

I have tried with remove permission Export/Import/Publish Customization in Environment Maker role (Users only have 1 role: Environment Maker)

Bbut it only applied for Dataverse solution, User still could export Canvas app as package (and import it)

The document of Microsoft said that User need role Environment Maker to import Canvas app but do you know which permission exactly they need to be able to import Canvas app?

    Hi @mr_khoi ,

     

    I created a copy of 'Env maker' security role and assigned it to the test user. After waiting for 15-30 mins, the export packeg button turned gray.

    So I guess the export ability comes from the role itself rather than the permissions inside.

    I did the same as you and then Users can't create canvas app anymore with following message:

    Although I have set permission creating app to Organization

    So I think your assumption could be true.

    I found one guy said it is impossible from a topic https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Power-Apps-Governance-and/Restrict-users-from-creating-apps-in-ALL-environments/td-p/413504
