Slow performance reading Excel

I have two large files that I want to put together (taking out the header).

 

When I use Read from Excel worksheets wiothout the Get cells contents as text the flow makes its magic in less than a minute, but it mess with the pasted data. So I need to write it as a text.

But the Reading is hanging when I check the advanced option  "Get contents as text" Any idea how can I amke this reading faster?

    This will be done faster with a macro.  The macro assumes that both worksheets have the same exact column set int he same order and that a title row is present on both.  It simply copies the data out of workbook 2 from row 2 down and pastes it at the bottom of the data in workbook 1, then saves it where ever you define.  Good luck!

    I've done a lot of work with Excel recently and Excel actions certainly need some work.

     

    I don't know what kind of speed you require but, in my experience, I've had to resort to using "Send Keys" to perform certain tasks. Maybe this would work for you also?

     

    I'd copy the value using Send Keys "{Control}({C})" and then paste it using the same action "{Control}({Alt({V})})V{Return}". (Before you execute those Send Keys commands you'd need to Select the cell/range.)

     

    As an alternative, AbleBits makes an Excel add-in that I'm using to combine multiple sheets and stack them vertically. I'm using this add-in along with Desktop to automate the conversion of some files from a human-readable format to one that can imported into a database. (I also automated this tool through much trial and error.)
