Lookup field to select email template for event

Hi,

I have a custom entity called Events. I have various email templates. Depending on the event I wand to be able to select which email template I want to use for a particular event. Depending on the users choice, I will send emails to all participants using a power automate unbound action.

When I try to create a new lookup field in the Event entity I noticed that I cannot create the lookup to the "template" entity as it is not listed in the possible options.

Any explanation and ideas for workaround would be very helpful.

Are you referring to the out of the box email templates?

Yes, the out of the box email templates. Thanks for the hint. A question remaiils - why is it not possible to create a lookup to "template" entity directly. After all it is just a standard entity.

Well it makes sense because out of the box email templates work only on standard entities like Account, Contact, case , system job and user, in other words you can dynamically customize email templates to pick up from custom entities.

So the solution you need to implement here is to make your custom Email Template entity where you can link to each event.
