Storing Data From External Users

Hi,

I am developing a competency quiz for my organisation's business partners. I have formulated the quiz on a canvas app and are now at the stage of connecting it to a data source to store the results. However, I am unsure on the best option, as those completing the quiz will not be part of my organisation.

I have previously developed a quiz that was used internally and stored in a SharePoint list, but I understand this is not an option for external users due to permissions. Therefore, if anyone could advice me on the best way to store data from external respondents to my quiz it would be much appreciated.

Thank you

Nathan

    Hi @Anonymous ,

    You can use Microsoft Forms, which can be shared with external users, then a Flow storing the responses in SharePoint.

    Hi @WarrenBelz,

    Thank you for your response. The intention is for the user to see their results once complete to know if they passed or failed. Therefore, questions need to have a score assigned to each answer. Are you aware of a way that this can be achieved in Forms?

    Cheers

    @Anonymous ,

    Yes you can auto-score in Forms and when you submit, the next screen gives you the option to view the results.

    Thank you @WarrenBelz !! I really appreciate your help. Lastly, does this mean respondents can know if they passed or failed? (i.e. if they scored 80/100 then a message appears to say they have passed but if less than 80 a message appears that they've failed?)

    Hi @Anonymous ,

    As far as I can see you cannot set a "pass mark".
