Bulk add data to excel datasource

Hi Community

I am a complete beginner in power platform.

I have an excel located on OneDrive which is connected to a PBI dashboard.

I want to build an interface in which users add bulk data through powerapps (they can add many rows at once), and the data injects automatically into that excel file.

Some headers have data validation and also we want users to edit and see the data they have uploaded.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

This is a fairly advanced feature and would be hard to tackle in a forum post. I suggest watching video tutorials on the topic and asking for specific help here if you get stuck. Here is a video to get you started.

thanks @EricBLott  but i have seen this video before but i'm not sure how do i implement my case here as i have to give the user an interface in which they can bulk add data (maybe i can provide a template excel to them which they download and put their data in it and upload it back again and the data appends in the master excel)

something like this...how should i go for it? i have searched so much on forums but i can't find any answer...im stuck 😞

@vikz4, the issue is that this is not one single feature that a forum post can cover. It would require some Power Automate flow to import and load in the bulk values from the file. At a high level, you'll need to capture the file to import, send that over to Power Automate, loop through the file and import the data (a standardized format would be required) and then returning a response to Power Apps.

This video covers most of that:

The forums (in my opinion) are mainly for troubleshooting specific issues. You may have someone come along who would help you architect the entire solution, but that's quite the commitment.

Thanks @EricBLott , this video helped a lot. Will try implementing these steps, it covers most of it.
