hi community,
I need help in building a flow, i want people get their reference numbers after they fill out the microsoft form,
the reference number only send once after that if they resubmit the form, they will get new numbers.
Reference numbers is auto created in excel if the new row is inserted.

I created own flow the problem is power automate keep sending old number and new numbers.

You can achieve this by initialising a variable and using expression to create that variable.
    Concat('HWP/EXX/',VarRefText,'000/2025')
Here VarRefText is the dynamic content based on the data that you create in excel.

    Hope this helps.
    Cheers!

I using excel formula like this ="HWP/EXX/" & TEXT(ROW(A2)."000") &"/2025". also, you guys mention about calculating reference numbers using power automate, how do I achieve this? I'm really a beginner.

I am not sure how you are creating the unique reference numbers in the excel but I suggest you create them in Power Automate as a variable.

And then insert the variable into the row in excel.

At the end you can add an action to send an email with the reference number into email body as variable.

    Hope this helps.
    Cheers!

Remember that the auto sync has stopped working between Forms and excel. It now is required to open the Excel manually for the sync to happen.

In your case I would calculate the reference number in Power Automate (you can also save them in a data source if needed) and only use the responses from "Get response details". That way you would only use the newly added response send the reference number.
