Dataverse List Rows action - Filter on lookup column

I'm using the Dataverse List Rows action in a agent in Copilot Studio. I'm trying to filter rows on with the filter Rows input but I'm not sure of the syntax there to filter on a lookup column like Created By (createdby) ?
I'm able to filter on other columns but not lookup columns.
Anyone with an example of the syntax for the Filter Rows input?

thanks

Arild Aarnes

    Hello Arild,

    can you try this one?

    _createdby_value eq 'GUID'
You'd need to provide user's GUID, so first calling Users table to check what's the value. This logic should apply to all Lookup columns.

In case of any other questions, let me know. If the answer helped you, mark it, so that others can benefit from it.

Dataverse List Rows action - Filter on lookup column
    Hi Artur,

    Thanks for your answer.

Yes I got that to work. But I would like to get the action to work without needing the users's GUID. At a minimum I need it to work by supplying the users fullname.

And I did get it to work by hardcoding this for the Filter Rows input of the Copilot Action:

createdby/fullname eq 'Arild Aarnes' and statecode eq 0
When asking for records from the Dataverse table with this filter it will only reply with information about records created by me. So that's sort of what I'm after.
But this is only when I set Filter Rows to "Set as a value" and put that filter in their.

So now I guess I have to practice writing a better description for the Filter Rows input so that the Agent understands that it should just automatically fill that filter with the users Fullname. I have sort of gotten it to understand what I want but it keeps asking me for the filter when I set it to "Dynamically fill with best option"
