Hi there,

I've created a flow that starts when selected in the document library for specific documents. In the flow it requests approval for an item. If that is approved, the status is updated and a second email is sent to another approver. The approvers are stored as properties of the document.

I'm getting the following failure:

Error type

This action failed because of an error in the connector.

The request failed. Response content: '{"status":400,"message":"Required property is missing.\r\nclientRequestId: 9e73d60b-597b-4874-b0d5-1134dbf28e66","source":"office365connectionprovider-northeurope.db3-ase-001.p.azurewebsites.net"}'.

I'm struggling to insert a screenshot but essentially:

When a HTTP request is received - Passes

Get item - Passes

Send approval email - Fails

BadRequest. The request failed. Response content: '{"status":400,"message":"Required property is missing.\r\nclientRequestId: 9e73d60b-597b-4874-b0d5-1134dbf28e66","source":"office365connectionprovider-northeurope.db3-ase-001.p.azurewebsites.net"}'.

Condition - Fails

ActionConditionFailed. The execution of template action 'Condition' is skipped: the 'runAfter' condition for action 'Send_approval_email' is not satisfied. Expected status values 'Succeeded' and actual value 'Failed'.

Hi @Anonymous,

In which action that you are seeing this error? Also, please provide the detailed configuration of your flow. Especially what you have filled in the fields.

The error is occurring in the Send Approval Email action. Is the above more helpful?

I changed the way I set up the workflow completely. I now use the Sharepoint actions: For a Selected Item, and Get Item, and then I could do what I wanted. This means I have to trigger the flow for each document individually and manually from Sharepoint, but at least it works! Let me know if anyone finds an easier way.

Same issue with the "Send email with options" action with 2 attachments.

Hi had the same issue.
It was resolved when I populated every single field in the advanced options section.
I had empty the field: Attachment name. Once I added: "Attachment:", the step ran succesfully.
