PowerApps Portals - Filter Contacts Entity by current user

Hi all,
I am trying to use PowerApps Portals to allow users to sign up themselves then login and edit their contact entity from Dynamics 365. I am currently able to display a list with all contacts but can't seem to be able to create a view so a logged in user can only see their information and not everyone's.

I have tried editing the entity list filter conditions using the PowerApps Portals admin interface but have nothing seemed to change.

I have also tried creating a Dynamics 365 view filter but can't find a way to filter by the PowerApps Portals signed in user.

If anyone has any suggestions or pointers it would be much appreciated.

    Hi @FinnDigigrow ,

Please see the difference between two filter conditions.

Since the entity list is Contacts itself and the item can't lookup itself, so we have to use Account Attribute.

You have to add all contact emails into Account entity, and create a N:1 relationship between Contact and Account, then relate all contacts items to corresponding account items. I guess these action can be done automatically by flow, however I did by my self for test.

Company Name is the lookup field to Account, I relate my contact item to corresponding account item.Company Name is the lookup field to Account, I relate my contact item to corresponding account item.

set Company Name as filter conditionset Company Name as filter condition

Actually, it would be a quite easy issue if your entity list isn't Contacts, but  if that is the case, the above workaround can help you resolve it.

    Best regards,

    Sik
