How to upgrade existing COE Tool Kit

Hello Team,

My organization did setup multiple environments along with the dedicated COE Environment. The COE Toolkit installed on Jan'2002 after that there were no upgrades in place. Please find the below versions.

Center of Excellence - Core Components -3.34
Center of Excellence - Governance Components - 2.13
Center of Excellence - Audit Logs - 2.6

Now I need to upgrade the existing toolkit with the new build . What is the latest stable version i can upgrade ? Can i update with the latest toolkit since my existing platform was not updated for more than 1 year? what will be impact for all other environments? what are the precautions or considerations should i take ?

Please advise. Thank you

Hello @subhashgitamliv,

Microsoft's guidance for updating CoE is to update CoE at least every 3 releases. If we update a CoE installation that is older than 3 months, we thus install every 3rd update of the solution. So far this approach worked fine.

Hello @subhashgitamliv,

No, that's not what I was trying to say. Yes, you can update your CoE, but I wouldn't advise directly installing the latest release. Instead, download and install every 3rd update to the CoE based on the version you have currently installed.
So if your version is from 01/22, install the version released in 04/22, then 07/22, then 10/22 etc. until you have caught up if the component is released monthly (e.g. Core Components). If it is released less frequently, be sure to install every 3rd release.
