I apologize for the title, I'm having trouble trying to describe what I'm trying to do. After perusing the forums for a couple of days, I'm going to have to show off a screenshot here and ask my fellow wizards.
I'm building a custom form on a SharePoint list. The list is holding nominations for an award. This particular part you must enter the member names of, let's say a Sales Team. The list column is a Person column, the combobox is set for multiple choices, and searching is ON.
The problem: When the end user goes to enter in multiple names, they are used to hitting <Enter> or <Tab> to move to a blank line, and then typing in their next name. Generally, they will type partial names as the Person column will fill in the rest. When they are done with one name, it's difficult to see where to start typing the next, and they have to stop, use the mouse, and point to the space where they have partially typed in the name. Confusing? Please see the screenshot.
I have built a text box next to the field that displays the names they entered separated by a semicolon. Is there any way at all to sort of "hide" the name they just typed and entered, and leave the field absolutely blank for the next name? Instead, it sort of dangles down under the name that's been entered, and it's a very awkward user experience.
