Calculated Date result can not display

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to create a calculated column to a SharePoint list to show months between two date columns.

This is formula I used: =DATEDIF(Date2,Date1,"ym").

But I did not get expect result.
Calculated column shows no number or no value.

Is there have any way to solve this problem.

Try this approach should help just replace Start Date and End Date with rate Date1 and Date 2

=12*(YEAR([End Date])-YEAR([Start Date]))+MONTH([End Date])-MONTH([Start Date])

Hi Sebs, thanks for your advice.
I'm afraid I cannot do with this.
Column [Date1] and [Date1] was important elements in my list.
I have to use them to finish calculation.

After I changed formula as [DATEDIF(Date1, Date2, "m")] it works.
Maybe I set wrong function with DATEDIF, the first argument should be set as starting date.
