Hey guys, got a bit of a weird situation going on so was hoping someone could point me in the right direction here

Essentially I am using a simple SubmitForm function for an edit of an item within an app that's connected to a SP list. The list has a specific multi-line text column (with append enabled) that I am using to capture data from approvals and update that accordingly via a flow. This all works fine but I have noticed when I edit an item within the app, the multiline text box updates automatically with a blank value. The multiline text box is not a field on the edit form as this is being updated solely by my PowerAutomate flow, so I am really struggling to understand how it is being updated.

Is it possibly due to the append feature enabled and it just automatically updates this field even without it being referenced anywhere on the edit form? I was thinking to scrap the SubmitForm option and possibly just a collection/patch for the edit but not sure if I will come across the same issue, so just trying to understand the functionality behind it first. Alternatively, is there another method or something I am missing here?
