Approval workflow help

Hello! I am relatively new to Power Automate, but have picked up a few things and am loving it!

I am in the middle of designing an approval workflow for submitting hardware repairs, entering the details in a SharePoint list. When users enter data, the approval workflow kicks off, sending an approval notice in Teams and via email with the repair details, costs, etc. Once approved, it will send an email to the creator of the list item to proceed with repairs.

This list will also be viewed by another person who needs to know whether the PO can be paid after repair work has completed. I would like a workflow where the creator updates a column on the list (Status = Complete), which will send an email to the other person indicating repairs are complete and the PO can be paid.

I was able to create both flows separately, however if I create a new item on the list, it will send emails indicating a repair is waiting approval and the repair is complete. I only want it to do one at a time, if that makes sense. Any tips on how I can make this work? Does it involve merging to the flows together?

    Hi @mlbussey

    You could add a trigger condition in the second flow, the one which sends a notification when the repair is complete. I guess that the trigger condition is "SharePoint -> When an item is created or modified", and then you could work with trigger conditions in the following way:

    trigger-conditions.png

    In this sample, I assume "Status" column is a choice column.

    In that case, the worfklow will be only triggered if status column equals "complete".

    @equals(triggerOutputs()?['body/Status/Value'], 'Complete')

    Hope that helps!
