Both ultimately have the same data source, which is Azure Active directory. Perhaps you can explain a bit more about your specifics and use case to find you a solution?
I have this requirements that the dropdown list can pull from o365 users which I what to filter only for certain one department. Now I want to pull another data to a sharepoint list which I want to put department and people picker. The challenge now is can I combine the the 0365 users and the SP list in one dropdown list. Thank you
