Hide or Show Create Button

Hello Power Apps Portals Community,

I hope you can help please.

On the entity-form metadata of a sub-grid type of an entity form, in its grid configuration, for the create action, I want to hide or show this create button depending on the value of certain attribute in its entity data. I have tried to use the Filter Criteria to enter the FetchXML but it doesn't work. Is there anyway to hide or show this Create button?

Thanks,

Harry

    Hi @harry_c2020

    I am wondering why the filter via Fetch didn't work.. can you share the FetchXML here?

    sometime ago I wrote a blog post on filtering the actions for entity list/subgrid.. I know it works for edit/create/workflow etc with no issues.. but I haven't tried myself with the Create actions, I will give it a go to see.. if you want to read further to make sure your syntax is correct here it is: https://oliverrodrigues365.com/2020/04/26/power-apps-portals-entity-list-conditional-action/

    In this other thread I showed how to programmatically hide the create button if the subgrid contains data: https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Power-Apps-Portals/Power-Apps-Portals-Make-subgrid-read-only-dynamically/m-p/604521#M2134

    you can use similar approach but validating something else on your form

    Thanks Oliver,

    The second solution which uses the jquery works for me.

    The first solution using the filter criteria didn't work. The FetchXML that I put in the filter criteria is below:

    <fetch output-format="xml-platform" mapping="logical" distinct="false" >
    <entity name="pid_audit" >
    <filter type="and" >
    <condition attribute="pid_issueedqcertificate" operator="neq" value="0" />
    </filter>
    </entity>
    </fetch>

    Thanks for your help
