Duplicating Metadata from a document in another library

I would like to duplicate the metadata from a document in another library to the document that was just uploaded.

Scenario: A word document is uploaded to a library for approval where it is kept in restricted access to just the admins who handle the approval. Once it is approved, a PDF version is created and uploaded to the open library where everyone has access to the reports. When the PDF is uploaded using the same title as the word document, I would like Power Apps to bring in the metadata from the word document in the other library to the PDF so the PDF metadata matches the word document without having to manually add the metadata.

I currently do this in SharePoint Designer workflows, but I need to start replacing all of these with Power Flows and I'm not sure where to start with this one as I'm still learning Flows.

I have the same question (0)

I don't want to copy the document itself. I just want to copy the metadata. We add signatures to the word document and then covert it to a pdf, so I don't even want to create a pdf version of the word document that is in the library. We keep the word document (without signatures) for possible edits in the future, while we upload the pdf (with signatures) for viewing by everyone. I just want to be able to copy the metadata from the word document to the pdf when it is uploaded.

    Hello @shepparda

May this can be possible with the following actions.

Once your word file is created, you create an approval process for admins,  once it is approved, you can take get file metadata of this word file, and once you can create the pdf with the word document (encodian connector has this feature) ,then update the pdf file, you can also update the file properties with the metadata of the word file, with update file properties Should be something like this:

    Hope this can help you!

Re: Duplicating Metadata from a document in another library

Thank you for that idea, but unfortunately it will not help for what I am looking for. I need to be able to match Titles in 2 different libraries and bring the metadata from the match to the new document. The PDF that we are uploading is not the exact same as the word, but the Titles will match and I would like to copy the metadata based on the matching titles. I did this fairly easily in SharePoint Designer. I just need to mimic the designer workflow
