"native text message support"

Just built my first "phone" app for dispalying information from an Excel table. Dispalys a resource, say "Active Directory" and the primary , secondary and turtiary contacts for the resouce to be used by our rotating oncall members.

Next step is to add a link next to each name, which will display a 2nd screen with that users information.  The screen will offer options to call or enter a text message to send to the selected individual.

Trying to find some additional informaton on "native text message support".

Found this:  https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Building-Flows/Send-text-message/td-p/1215

Was this reference for native support in flow?

Thanks.

    Hi Schortingh_i,

Your app is quite simple to create. You can let PowerApps create this app automantically after connecting to your table. But your table need to be stored in one of the connections that PowerApps support so far.

I'm not sure that I have fully understand your question. Did you mean that you want native AD connection in PowerApps? If so, then I think the post does not mean that PowerApps will add support for native ad. You can post this idea in the PowerApps Ideas forum, so it might be considered for future releases.

I was able to use launch() with "tel" to create a button to start a telephone call.  Now looking to create something to allow sending a text message if the person chooses from the same screen.  I looked at Twillow and it is a possibility, but I was hoping to use the txt app already built into the phone.  Anyone have any ideas?  Currently testing with my Android phone.

    Thanks.

Uses "sms" instead of "tel", eg

    Launch("sms:8001231234")

Thanks for all the help.  Both phone and text buttons are working.  I have share the app with some coworkers for them to play with.
