Hello all,,
I have a table called 'Business process' and name field is unique. I am using it as dropdown in canvas app to hide show few controls based on the value selected. However, there are times the values in the 'Business Process' are slightly altered and since i am using expression like Dropdown.selected.value = "test business process", it is failing and had to change code everytime there is changes in the value in table. If it is choices, i would have used Dropdown.selected.value = 'BusinessProcess.[selection] . any one know how to overcome ?
Hi @SAGOS_12
Do you have an ID column in your 'Business process' table that uniquely identifies each row?
If so, perhaps you could use that in your conditional tests. By doing this, the conditional logic should still work if the text value of an item were to change.
(eg, Dropdown.Selected.ID = 4)
Hi @SAGOS_12 ,
Unfortunetly you can't change a column type once it is created in Dataverse (i am assuming that your datasouce is Dataverse so let me know if this assumtion is wrong) but there are few things which you can do
Let me know how you get on
