Change Datacard visual format default

Is there any way to change the default format of a datacard based on custom modifications such as font, font size, fill colors, border colors, text/label heights and positions, etc.?  I formatted a couple of datacards in my edit form to match my companies branding guidelines, but then when I went to add a new field it goes to the default style.  I know I can setup dynamic styling references to variables in my app, but then I still have to manually do this for every datacard that's added.  If I didn't use a form, at least I could just copy and paste grouped elements and they would retain formatting.

    Hi @Darnell ,

    I do something very similar, but it is a lot of coding initially - I have a style Variable at App OnStart (this one is a dark blue with set fonts)

    Set(
     gblBase,
     ColorFade(
     RGBA(
     9,
     33,
     98,
     1
     ),
     -30%
     )
    );
    Set(
     gblTheme,
     {
     Fill: gblBase,
     Hover: ColorFade(
     gblBase,
     94%
     ),
     Shade: ColorFade(
     gblBase,
     90%
     ),
     Press: ColorFade(
     gblBase,
     30%
     ),
     TSize: 9,
     LSize: 10,
     TFont: Font.'Segoe UI',
     LFont: Font.'Open Sans Condensed',
     LWeight: FontWeight.Bold
     }
    );

    and then apply these to the elements. Some time can be saved on elements like labels and drop-down controls as it is quicker to change their data (and that of the card) than the style - and I rename everything anyway. It also allows for very quick global changing of any element.

    Hi @WarrenBelz

    Thanks for replying.  I probably wasn't clear when I mentioned I know how to setup global variables (in the App OnStart).  I think this is what you're mentioning as well, so I assume you still need to go into every datacard and tie the formatting options to your global variables.  I realize it will save time after the initial setup if you want to change global formatting styles, but I was wondering if there is a way to set the default formatting of datacards so that I don't have to go into every form and card and adjust the references back to global variables on initial build.  Doesn't look like that's possible so I'll just have to wait for a future update hopefully.

    Cheers.

    Hi @Darnell ,

    If there was, I would be doing that instead of my current process 😂. As I mentioned, there are some shortcuts copying controls and also if they are not in a Form, you can select a number of similar ones together.
